WoodCutts jewelry starts by selecting the highest quality furniture grade hardwoods from sustainably farmed forests. The wood is then processed and hand finished in our studios by John and other family members. We use primarily American hardwoods including Cherry, Maple and Walnut.
The design process begins with an original sketch which is then drafted into Auto Cad and then printed to a laser cutter. After numerous changes and prototypes the jewelry blank is finalized and prepared for production. The jewelry blank is removed from the laser, inspected for quality, then hand cleaned and polished.
WoodCutts earrings are so light they seem to float. Really! They are super light weight and even the larger size can hardly be felt on the ear. Finished with hypo-allergenic ear wires and accented with a glass bead.
This pair is made with Cherry wood. Measure2.25" from the center of the ear wire curve. Design is 1.5" in diameter.
I take about 5 photos for each pair of earrings with the hope you will get a pretty good idea of what they will look like at different angles and light. The last photo on a white piece of paper is more for details without distraction - but sometimes the color gets washed out. I do not take a whole new set of photos for these earrings. They are
laser cut and as such are the same from earring to earring. I will
