Ilona Fekete

Ilona Fekete was born in the 1950s in a small town in Hungary. There she developed her love of traditional crafts that had been passed down through the generations such as crocheting and fine needlwork. The family immigrated to Canada when she was 16. She married and raised a family. Now retired, she spends her time painting folk art renderings of everyday life. 

Her artwork has appeared in motion pictures including Walt Disney’s “Santa Buddies” and Hallmark of Fame “Family Thanksgiving.” Ilona’s motto is, “Life can be hard...art should be happy.”
