Mike Norman

I’ve drawn and painted as long as I remember. I’m mostly self taught but it took a couple of mixed media painting and sculpture classes to pull my work into a third dimension and off the wall.

I like to make my creations fun and entertaining. Most are made from recycled wood, metal scraps and other found objects. It helps to be a packrat. I find it difficult to throw away worn out, obsolete, or otherwise useless objects for fear they might have a second life as art.
