Anthony is a folk artist enjoying his craft in the mountain foothills of Franklin, North Carolina. He has not strayed far from his roots.
He was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee and from a very early age knew he was born to be an artist. He initially created fine art works in pastels, oils and acrylics. All the while, he filled many a sketchbook with drawings of imaginary characters and scenes that seldom saw the light of day. That all changed after a good friend took a look at his sketches and exclaimed, “ Anthony, you should be a folk artist!
That was 13 years ago, and Fathead has had much more success and fun as a folk artist. He uses his fertile imagination with his fine art skills to paint unique folk art works to make people smile. He primarily paints on cut pieces of rusty tin roofing, though he also paints on wood, canvas and other friendly surfaces
