Robin Rodgers was raised near the banks of the Apalachicola River in Chattahoochee, FL. He enjoys researching ancient techniques and processes of pottery making, translating the findings into his current contemporary creations. For over one 150 years, the tradition of making faces on pottery jugs has been documented in the southern United States. From the primitive face jugs of Edgefield, South Carolina potters through the late masters of the form - Lanier Meaders, Burlon Craig, and others, the tradition continues today. These are the faces created by Robin.
