Heather Elyse Head

I’m Heather Elyse Head. I grew up in Lula, GA, so I have always been surrounded by a large number of folk potters. In 2016, I began working at Craven Pottery. Working there finally gave me the opportunity to learn from some of the best potters. My grandfather-in-law, Billy Joe Craven, has been a huge inspiration to me and has taught me so much. Dal Burtchaell has also been an amazing source of pottery knowledge and is always willing to give me advice. 

My favorite thing about my art is that it often makes people smile when they see it. I love to use bold colors and whimsical, exaggerated features on my face jugs and other pottery pieces.
