Mike Craven

During the 50 years Mike Craven has put into making pottery, he likely became the most prolific potter of the entire Craven family lineage. Today, Mike has lowered the volume of his output due to arthritis, which has made it more and more difficult for him to spend much time at the wheel.  He, with his son Jason, established Craven Family Pottery in Gillsville in 2007, which focuses on producing high quality, high value dishware, cookware, and other domestic functional wares as well as collectible artistic pieces. So, after nearly 300 years, the Craven family pottery tradition continues with the 9th and 10th generations making pottery unto this day.
