Art by Susan is the Southaven, MS home studio of Susan and Randy Hood. The painting is done by Susan, but it is a family affair involving Randy and any family member who drops by. Wood has to be cut and fit together, photograph frames need to be assembled, and hanging hardware attached. And I think it is evident that they are having a bit of fun.

Vase of flowers is painted on 20" x 30" x .25" wood, with acrylics. Susan's characteristic technique of applying thick layers is evident. Pleaser see the detail photos to view how the panel is constructed. Basically, the painting is framed by a handpainted and constructed frame.
