Michael Banks is an artist from Alabama who knew from the time he was a child that he wanted to be an artist. A self-taught painter, Michael abandoned tradition on many levels and, in the process, succeeded in achieving a place in the wider world of contemporary American art.

Michael's angels are full of individual personality. Wings and breastplate are cardboard, the legs and arms are made from tree branches taken from his back yard while the remaining pieces are from assorted sources. Attach a saw tooth hanger on the back to hang on the wall. 18" from head to toe. 20" to the top of wings. 9" across wings.
