Georgia potter Bo Thompson is a self taught Southern folk artist. He doesn't follow the rules. His pieces are bright, happy and full of whimsical glee. 

This is a fun interpretation of a face jug. The color was difficult to capture. It is an almost black with blue highlights. Color is best represented in the outdoor photos.
