Dwayne Crocker strives to follow the generations old traditions characteristic of Southern folk art pottery starting from the ground up. He uses Georgia red clay, mixes glazes, and strains ashes for his glazes. He uses time honored methods, concepts, tools (a straw and a nail) and designs, just as the old timers before him.
This piece is 5" tall, with a 2.5" base. 5.5" wide. I find the pottery color is best represented outside in natural light.
This piece is currently on loan to Folk vPottery Museum of Northeast Georgia until May 2024
