Dwayne Crocker Rooster 12" DP2285 on loan to museum

Dwayne Crocker strives to follow the generations old traditions characteristic of Southern folk art pottery starting from the ground up. He uses Georgia red clay, mixes glazes, and strains ashes for his glazes. He uses time honored methods, concepts, tools (a straw and a nail) and designs, just as the old timers before him.

This rooster is 12" tall and 7" wide. The base is 4' diameter. The outdoor photos show the color a little better than the white background photos.

This piece is currently on loan to Folk vPottery Museum of Northeast Georgia until May 2024
