Robin Rodgers Double Handle 12" Dark Green Swirl Face Jug with Bird DP3633

Traditional face jugs come in all shapes and sizes, manner of expressions, and often come in swirled, solid, or runny ash-glazed hues of brown, greens, or other colors. Robin Rodgers creates his face jugs on the potter’s wheel from both white and red clays.  Once each piece has dried to a leather-hard stage, he begins sculpting the features - each piece with its own distinct personality. High fired to cone 5, or roughly 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. 

This green swirl double handled face jug is 12" tall with a 6.5" base. Note the little bird on his eyebrow.
